BERLIN, (TDI): Germany warned on Friday that Russia’s potential deployment of North Korean troops in Ukraine would represent a “clear escalation” in the conflict.
This statement follows President Volodymyr Zelensky’s assertion that Moscow could send soldiers from Pyongyang to the frontlines this weekend.
Chancellor Olaf Scholz, speaking during a visit to India, expressed concern over the development, describing it as “very worrying.”
He noted that it indicates Russia is struggling in the war, stating, “It is serious and, of course, something that escalates the situation further. It also shows that the Russian president is in great need.”
