Islamabad, 11 September 2023 (TDI): A distinguished delegation from the Global Business Alliance (GBA) recently convened with Ulanbek Totuiaev, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Pakistan.
During the meeting, Muhammad Asif Noor, Chairman of the GBA, highlighted the objectives and significance of the GBA, emphasizing the pivotal role of the Pakistan Kyrgyzstan Trade House.
Kyrgyzstan Trade House is a joint initiative between GBA and the Kyrgyz Union of Entrepreneurs and Industrialists, established in March 2023.
The Pakistan Kyrgyzstan Trade House, functioning as both an online and offline platform, is poised to serve as a vital conduit between the business communities of Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan.
This strategic partnership aims to facilitate trade and cooperation while mutually benefiting entrepreneurs from both nations.
GBA, a registered entity with the Government of Pakistan, operates offices in Islamabad and various other cities.
It is a global Business & Trade Cooperation Networking platform, dedicated to promoting bilateral and multilateral trade, business ventures, and related services on a global scale.
GBA extends its members’ access to networks comprising global diplomatic missions, governments, trade bodies, and business enterprises worldwide, fostering result-oriented growth, partnerships, and strategic alliances.
Members of the GBA delegation expressed a keen interest in investing in Kyrgyzstan and sought insights into business potential, investment policies, and incentives available to investors.
The delegation comprised notable figures, including Muhammad Asif Noor (Chairman, Global Business Alliance), Vice Admiral (R) Admiral Asif Khaliq (Rector, Bahria University), Ali Akbar Khan (CEO, MedLinks Private Limited), Khalid Mehmood Raja (Chairman, Maknom International Group), Zeeshan Ahmed Siddiqui (Founder/CEO, Benroy Group), Tasawer Shahzad (CEO, Moreno Smart City), and Malik Changez Khan (CEO, Askari Travels and Tours).
Ambassador Totuiaev underscored the strategic significance of the Kyrgyz Republic as a crucial transit country in Central Asia, connecting vital freight transportation routes, both to the north-east (linking Kazakhstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Afghanistan) and the southeast (bridging Central Asia with China).
He elaborated on the advantages of investing in Kyrgyzstan, emphasizing noteworthy projects like the China-Kyrgyzstan Railway and the Asman City project, inviting Pakistani businessmen to participate in these ventures.
The Kyrgyz Ambassador also shed light on investment opportunities across sectors such as agriculture, hydro-energy, tourism, pharmaceuticals, education, and textiles.
In a bid to explore these promising investment opportunities, the Global Business Alliance delegation is scheduled to visit Kyrgyzstan in the near future.
This visit marks a significant step towards enhancing bilateral trade and economic cooperation between Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan. At the conclusion of the meeting, a souvenir was presented to the Kyrgyz Ambassador.
