Swabi (TDI): Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur vowed to sacrifice his life for the release of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, asserting that they would not rest until Khan is freed from incarceration.

Addressing a PTI gathering in Swabi on Saturday, organized for the “independence of judiciary” and Khan’s release, Gandapur declared, “Even if we lose our lives, we will not stop until Imran Khan is freed.”

He further emphasized the need for sacrifice to achieve true freedom, echoing his unwavering stance against the current political situation.

The chief minister reaffirmed PTI’s loyalty to its leader, stating, “Only Imran Khan has the authority to make decisions in the party,” and called for unity in their struggle.

He also alluded to a potential march on Islamabad, stating, “We will not return until the release of our leader.”

Gandapur’s remarks came after his recent statement about a “final call” to remove the incumbent government, following harsh actions against PTI workers.

He had announced plans to intensify protests, vowing that this time, PTI members would take to the streets in defiance, including a call for protests in November.

At the event, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan referred to the power show as a “referendum against the mandate-stealing government” and voiced hopes for Imran Khan’s imminent release.

He condemned the recent violence in Balochistan, particularly the Quetta explosion that killed 27 people, questioning the future of peace and political progress with Khan still imprisoned.

Khan, arrested in August 2022 following his conviction in the Toshakhana case, remains detained in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail, facing multiple charges.
