French President congratulates Uzbek Counterpart on Independence Day

Tashkent, 31 August 2021 (TDI): A telephonic conversation was held between Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Uzbekistan, and Emmanuel Macron, President of France.

The French President congratulated the Uzbek President on the 30th anniversary of independence. On September 1st, Uzbekistan observes its Independence Day, commemorating the country’s independence from the Soviet Union. The French President also welcomed the efforts of Uzbek officials to bolster regional security and address the Afghan situation vigilantly.

Both sides hoped that cooperation in economy, trade, tourism, infrastructure and sustainable development will continue in the future.
