France, committed to addressing the humanitarian crisis, has already provided €41.3 million in assistance to meet the urgent needs of the Sudanese population and Sudanese refugees in neighboring countries.
This aid has been directed towards crucial areas such as healthcare, food security, nutrition, hygiene, shelter, and care for victims of sexual violence.
France appeals to all parties involved to prioritize the protection of civilians and adhere to international humanitarian law. It is imperative to ensure safe and unhindered access throughout the country, allowing essential assistance to reach those in dire need.
France also calls for the removal of restrictions impeding the deployment of humanitarian workers. The bravery exhibited by these workers, who risk their lives to fulfill their duties, deserves commendation.

In the strongest terms, France condemns the ongoing clashes between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces in Sudan. The violence, particularly in Darfur, is deeply troubling due to its scale and the ethnic dimensions that exacerbate the situation.
These clashes pose a grave setback to the progress made toward establishing a civilian government, which enjoys broad support from the Sudanese people. It is crucial that all parties engage in meaningful dialogue and work toward a peaceful resolution to pave the way for stability, justice, and prosperity in Sudan.
The Donor Conference for Sudan and the Region serves as an opportunity for the international community to demonstrate its commitment to supporting Sudan in its journey toward sustainable peace and development.
France, alongside other nations, stands ready to contribute its expertise and resources to help Sudan overcome these challenges and forge a brighter future for its people.
