Paris (TDI): France announced 109-billion-euro investment in artificial intelligence during the opening ceremony of the third AI summit in Paris on Monday.
Sharing this news on X, French President Emmanuel Macron said, “We have talents and assets to succeed in Artificial intelligence. French and foreign companies announce 109 billion euros of investment in France in AI.”
France wants Europe to keep pace with global AI projects through this investment, signalling the US $500 billion project “Stargate”.
France will receive 20 billion euros from Canada and 50 billion euros from the United Arab Emirates for different AI projects in the next few years.
French President Emmanuel Macron not only declared this private investment in the AI sector ahead of AI Summit but also posted his deepfake video on X to promote Paris Action AI Summit stating it is well made. The video received a lot of public attention.

Many important figures are attending the AI summit, including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, European Commission President Ursula van Der Leyen, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, and US Vice President James David Vance.

It has gathered world leaders, tech executives and policymakers to discuss different dimensions of AI, particularly the ethical, political, and moral dimensions.
France and Canada started the global partnership for AI in 2019.
