Beijing, (TDI): The 2024 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) has captivated international attendees with China’s advanced technology and innovation.
The fair, held from Thursday to Monday at the China National Convention Center and Shougang Park in Beijing, showcased a range of cutting-edge technologies including AI-powered surgical robots, hydrogen fuel motorbikes, and unmanned delivery systems.
Among the highlights was EHang Holdings’ EH216-S, an electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, which has recently received approval from Chinese civil aviation authorities.
Manfred Janssen, chief of the KolnBusiness Economic Development Agency, expressed his admiration after experiencing the aircraft, noting China’s role as a global innovation leader and potential solutions for urban transportation.

The fair, which featured exhibits from 85 countries and international organizations under the theme “Global Services, Shared Prosperity,” has become a key platform for global exchanges in green and digital economies.
Several foreign delegations, including those from Cologne, Germany, engaged in discussions on cooperation and green economic transformation.
Chinese Tech Firms Draw Interest
Chinese firms such as STO Express also drew significant interest with their self-developed omnidirectional sorting robots and unmanned delivery systems.
These innovations underscore China’s commitment to advancing technological solutions and enhancing efficiency in various sectors.

Wang Peng, an associate research fellow at the Beijing Academy of Social Sciences, highlighted that the technological advancements displayed at CIFTIS not only demonstrate China’s strengths in innovation but also contribute to global trade and technological development.
The fair serves as a testament to China’s ongoing efforts to share its technological advancements and foster international cooperation.
