Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar met US Presidential Envoy for Climate.

Washington: July 20, 2021- (TDI):The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani had a meeting with the US Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry in Washington, USA.

Climate Change and the issues associated with it were the major agenda of concern during this conversation. The topics under discussion during this meeting were the combined efforts in reducing the effects of Climate change and the state of Qatar’s measures in addressing the issues related to climate change. The minister of foreign affairs Al Thani stressed on the importance of enhancing Qatari US cooperation in the field of climate affairs.

The US special Presidential envoy for climate John Kerry appreciated Qatar’s commitment in addressing the climate change issues and its efforts in hosting up the FIFA World Cup 2022 with the highest standards of sustainability to be achieved.
