FM Switzerland visits Hungary for Hungarian Ambassadors Conference

Budapest, 27 August 2021- (TDI): The Foreign Minister of Switzerland, Ignazio Cassis visited Hungary to attend the Hungarian Ambassadors Conference in Budapest on August 27.  Ignazio Cassis also delivered a speech regarding Switzerland’s foreign policy at the Hungarian Ambassadors Conference. He also met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary Peter Szijjarto and other high officials. FM of Belgium Sophie Wilmes and FM of Russia Sergei Lavrov were also invited to speak at the conference.


Ignazio Cassis, the FM of Switzerland took to Twitter and shared that he had an insightful exchange on trade opportunities and challenges associated with it. He discussed it with the Swiss representatives in Hungary. The Switzerland companies have provided 32,000 jobs in the country. Hungary is also Switzerland’s third-largest trading partner in Central Europe. Switzerland is a reliable partner of the EU and committed to European values.
