Secretary General Austria, Pakistani counterpart discuss Afghanistan


Vienna, 27 August 2021- (TDI): The Secretary-General of Austria Peter Launsky Tieffenthal with Foreign Secretary of Pakistan Soheil Mahmood discussed the Afghanistan situation via phone call.
The Foreign Secretary of Pakistan Soheil Mahmood stated that they had a fruitful exchange of conversation regarding Afghanistan and the entire situation in the region.

The Austrian ambassador to Pakistan and Afghanistan Nicolaus Keller praised Pakistani authorities for their support and help in the evacuation of Austrian citizens from Afghanistan. He also said that in times of crisis, this kind of help is worth mentioning. He said that he was extremely grateful to Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, the Foreign Office, and the Ministry of Interior Pakistan.
