Islamabad (TDI): Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Pakistan Yerzhan Kistafin met with Rehan Naseem Bharara, President of the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, to explore avenues for enhancing bilateral trade, particularly in light industry.
During the meeting, they discussed opportunities for conducting business in Kazakhstan.
They also discussed the planned events aimed at increasing trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, in particular at the regional level.
Rehan Naseem Bharara confirmed the interest of the Pakistan’s textile capital business community in developing trade and investment cooperation with Kazakhstan, as well as the intention to participate in bilateral events.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to organize a visit of a business delegation to Kazakhstan, as well as to hold online and in-person meetings between the chambers of commerce and industry of Shymkent and Faisalabad.
Pakistan and Kazakhstan enjoy cordial relations rooted in cultural, religious, and historical affinities.

The two countries have progressively worked to enhance cooperation various fields such as trade, energy, education, and connectivity.
In recent years, both Islamabad and Astana have stressed the importance of enhancing economic ties, with an emphasis on trade diversification.
