Brussels, 13 August 2022 (TDI): High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, on Friday sent his condolences to the victims and people of Montenegro over the deadly mass shooting in Cetinje.

“Our thoughts are with you,” he said in his tweet.
On Friday, at least 11 people were killed in a deadly mass shooting in the southern city of Montenegro.
Montenegro is not a member of the European Union, but the country enjoys widespread support among EU members’ officials.
Mass shooting in Cetinje:
Cetinje is the southern city of Montenegro, also known as the royal capital of Montenegro.
A gunman randomly started shooting at people on Friday, resulting in the death of 11 people on Friday, including a mother and her two children. Six people were wounded, three of which suffered life-threatening injuries.
Reportedly, the attacker was identified as a 34-year-old man named Vuk Borilovic.
In a tweet on Friday, Montenegro’s President, Milo Đukanović, expressed his solidarity over the tragic incident and said the news deeply shook him.

He expressed his sincerest condolences to the bereaved families who lost their loved ones. He said everyone must stand in solidarity with them in these difficult times as a society.
Moreover, the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dritan Abazovic, also expressed his grief over the incident and said that the shooting was the worst the country has seen.
The government has announced a three-day mourning period in the wake of this unprecedented event.
