EU Ambassador to Somalia Met the Prime Minister of Somalia

Mogadishu, 16 September 2021 (TDI): After being appointed the head of EU Delegation, the Current European Union Ambassador to Somalia, Tiina Intelmann, met for the first time with the 20th and incumbent Prime Minister Somalia, Mohamed Hussein Roble.
In the friendly meeting, the European Union Ambassador showcased the EU’s support towards the current government of The Federal Republic of Somalia. The meeting encompassed various ongoing European Union development projects in Somalia, including the three projects of €11.8 million ($14.3 million) launched earlier this year.
The Prime Minister of Somalia and the EU ambassador to Somalia discussed the progress of all of the European Union projects in Somalia. Moreover, Ambassador Tiina Intelmann portrayed her concerns about the progress on the country’s electoral process and conducting of timely and peaceful elections in the country.
The meeting concluded on a happy note with assurance to work for the peace and development in the region and maintenance of electoral momentum in the state of Somalia.
