Kabul, 13 August 2021 (TDI): Andreas Von Brandt, the Ambassador of EU in Afghanistan, had a briefing on Afghanistan with the European External Action Service (EEAC), DSG Enrique Mora, and the Ambassador of the Political and Security Committee of the European Union. During the briefing together, the current security condition was discussed and reviewed.
It was said that the Taliban are causing instability in the country as well as in the region. Taliban must stop these offensive killings and violence to restore peace in the region. It was discussed in the meeting that Afghanistan is facing deplorable security conditions. The political settlement and peaceful resolution are significant to pursue peace and stability in the country. They also expressed their concerns about the displacement of thousands of Afghan people.
It was stressed in the meeting that the ongoing violation, worsening security conditions, and humanitarian catastrophe should be ceased immediately to end the continuous Afghan conflict.
