Beijing, (TDI): Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, inaugurated the Pakistan Pavilion at the China International Fair for Trade in Services 2024, emphasizing thirteen key sectors for investment.
In his address, Ambassador Hashmi highlighted Pakistan’s potential in technology, energy, manufacturing, agriculture, and infrastructure development.
He also acknowledged the contributions of Pakistani organizations at the fair, including the Export Processing Zone Authority (EPZA), Green Pakistan Initiative, Dhabeji Economic Zone, Allama Iqbal SEZ, and the National Bank of Pakistan, which play crucial roles in strengthening business-to-business (B2B) relations between Pakistan and China.
The envoy announced that the Pakistani embassy would host the Pakistan Investment Conference titled”Together for a Shared Future” during CIFTIS, aiming to enhance economic engagement with China.

CIFTIS is one of the world’s largest platforms for trade in services, providing countries with a significant opportunity to showcase their service sector strengths and engage in global trade.

This year, the Pakistan Pavilion is notable for its public-private partnership model, designed to both inform visitors about investment opportunities and provide practical insights into establishing and expanding businesses in Pakistan.
The pavilion features industrial park operators and development authorities, offering attendees direct access to expertise on infrastructure and investment opportunities.

The conference, which includes panel discussions, interactive sessions, and B2B meetings, is expected to foster new cooperation avenues and build meaningful partnerships between Pakistani and Chinese businesses.
