Envoy Hails Pakistan’s Economic Progress, TAPI Commitment

Islamabad (TDI): Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan Atadjan Movlamov has become the latest international voice to acknowledge Pakistan’s remarkable economic turnaround, citing a significant surge in global investors’ interest in the country.

He was talking to Petroleum Minister Dr Musadik Malik, to whom he called on here on Thursday.

The Ambassador commended the Government of Pakistan for its recent economic strides, noting improvements in economic situation.

The Ambassador expressed optimism and remarked that international investers have increased interest in Pakistan. He added that for all these successes the credit goes to Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and his team.

At the beginning of the meeting, both sides exchanged pleasantries.  The ambassador also invited the federal minister for Petroleum to visit Turkmenistan to which Minister expressed his gratitude.

During the meeting, the Federal Minister for Petroleum expressed appreciation for the Turkmenistan’s commitment to the TAPI project.

The project is important for energy needs of the country, the minister added.

The meeting concluded with a mutual commitment to continue fostering bilateral ties and exploring avenues for collaboration in energy, trade, and investment.

Foreign investments have increased significantly in the last couple of months and more global investors from UAE, Saudi Arabia, Russia, China and certain western countries are in contact with the Pakistani government for investment facilities.

Market fluctuation was controlled due to effective policies on part of the government, remittances witnessed upsurge, inflation was reduced and structural reforms are going on.
