Lahore, 3 October 2022 (TDI): England won the last T20 International against Pakistan on 2 October at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, and sealed the T20I series 4-3.

Before the last match on 2 October, the series was leveled at 3-3. England won the last T20I by a huge margin.

Match Summary

Pakistan played with Babar Azam (C), Muhammad Rizwan, Asif Ali, Shan Masood, Shadab Khan, Khushdil Shah, Muhammad Nawaz, Haris Rauf, Muhammad Wasim Jr, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Muhammad Hasnain.

England’s team included Moeen Ali (C), Phil Salt, Alex Hales, Dawid Malan, Ben Duckett, Harry Brook, Sam Curran, Adil Rashid, Reece Topley, David Willey, and Chris Woakes.

Pakistan won the toss and elected to bowl first. England openers gave a quick start to the team. Then, Dawid Malan came to the crease and played brilliantly. He played all around the ground. He scored 78 runs off 47 deliveries.

Ben Duckett and Harry Brook also played very well. They scored quick fire 30 and 46 respectively and took the team score to 209 in 20 overs.

There was no notable bowling performance from any Pakistani bowler except Haris Rauf who conceded only 24 runs in his 4 overs. All other bowlers went for plenty.

Then, Pakistan came to bat and both the openers were dismissed inside the first two overs. Only 3 batsmen from the  Pakistan team were able to reach double figures. Shan Masood scored 56 runs off 43 balls.

England bowlers were brilliant. Chris Woakes was the pick of the bowlers who picked up 3 wickets for 26 runs in his spell of 4 overs. Pakistan could only score 142 in 20 overs with the loss of 8 wickets.
