Egypt’s President in Baghdad for a tripartite summit

Cairo:27 June 2021 (TDI):  Today, the President of Egypt Mr. Abdelfattah-Elsisi has arrived in Baghdad to attend the tripartite summit. The tripartite summit is between Egypt, Iraq, and Jordan.
The summit is the fourth round of talks to strengthen the tripartite cooperation that was launched in Cairo in March 2019.
The two sides will talk about regional peace and stability and on enhancing bilateral ties especially economic and trade cooperation.
President Al-Sisi was received by Iraqi President Mr. Barham Salih at Baghdad International Airport. It’s the first Egyptian President visit to Baghdad in 30 years.
An official reception ceremony was held to welcome the Egyptian President.The ceremony included the playing of the national anthems of both countries and followed by guard of honor and a review of the various military forces.
