Easypaisa Facilitates PKR 107M in Donations During Ramadan 2025

Islamabad (TDI): During the month of Ramadan, Easypaisa Digital Bank was at the forefront of creating meaningful impact. Donations worth PKR 107million were processed through Easypaisa, during Ramadan, marking an 18% year-on-year increase compared to last year.

To amplify the impact of each contribution and encourage more people to donate during the month of Ramadan, Easypaisa announced that it would donate PKR 1 for every PKR 20 contributed via the app, which amounted to PKR 5.3 million. The campaign saw more than 360,000 transactions and a 34% YoY increase in total donation-related transactions.

This initiative not only encouraged more people to participate but also created a significant impact on the lives of those who needed the donations the most.

Easypaisa distributed these donations through several reputable charitable organizations in Pakistan including Edhi Foundation, Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital, Maulana Tariq Jameel Foundation, Al Khidmat Foundation, and the Indus Hospital.

The purpose of the initiative was to foster a spirit of compassion and generosity throughout the month of Ramadan with the help of more than 50 listed donation partners on the platform.

The Head of Wallet Business of Easypaisa digital bank, Farhan Hassan, commented, “Enabling access to convenient and seamless donations through the Easypaisa app remains a cornerstone of our mission to simplify financial transactions for everyone. During Ramadan, we empowered millions across Pakistan to donate and truly make a difference.”

Moreover, the Executive Director of Growth & Analytics, Hani Haider, commented, “Enabling customers to donate securely and conveniently through our platform has proven to be a successful lever of growth for Easypaisa. We proved that yet again in 2025, by becoming the platform of choice for our customers.”

With more than 2.8 billion transactions being processed in 2024 alone valuing at PKR 9.7 trillion (approximately 9% of Pakistan’s GDP), Easypaisa has become a pivotal player in Pakistan’s evolving digital finance ecosystem.
