Kabul: July 26, 2021- (TDI): Today, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, Chairman of the High Council for National Reconciliation, had a meeting with Ross Wilson, the US Chargé d’Affaires to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. They talked about the latest political and security developments in Afghanistan.
Both parties had an open and honest discussion about various matters. They discussed the state of the inconclusive peace talks in Doha. Both parties stated unequivocally that there is no military solution to the Afghan situation.
In summary, they advocated for an all-encompassing and just political and diplomatic settlement in Afghanistan in light of the United States’ withdrawal from the country.
