Belgrade, 12 October 2021 (TDI): The Foreign Minister of Palestine, Dr. Riad Malki met with his Serbian counterpart, Nikola Silakovic. The meeting was held in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia.
The bilateral relations between Serbia and Palestine are friendly and strong. The two have cordial ties despite of Serbia establishing diplomatic relations with Israel in 1991. In the UN General Assembly session, Serbia has voted in favor of Palestine, many times.

During the meeting, the two sides emphasized on enhancing bilateral relations for mutual benefit. The latest political situation of Palestine was also discussed.
The meeting was held at the sidelines the 60th Anniversary celebration of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM). States’ representatives are attending the celebration to commemorate the occasion.
