Kyiv, 14 July 2022 (TDI): The Defense Minister of Ukraine, Oleksii Reznikov, met the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense of Poland, Mariusz Blaszczak, in the capital of Ukraine.

The two officials discussed the situation of ongoing war and the provision of financial aid to support Ukraine.
The Polish Deputy Prime Minister was warmly welcomed by the President of Ukraine and its Defense Minister upon his arrival in Ukraine.
Remarks of the Polish Minister:
In his meeting with the Defense Minister of Ukraine, Blaszczak emphasized the need for Warsaw’s support for Kyiv as they are battling with Russia and need the support of many.
He said that Poland’s help for Ukraine was not only for Ukraine itself but it was in their own interest and need too as Poland is a neighboring country of Ukraine and capturing Ukraine would develop a deadly threat to their existence as well.
Further adding that because Poland wants to see only Ukraine as their neighbor and not Russia, the government in Warsaw has provided $1.7 Billion worth of military assistance to help Ukraine fight this war against Russian aggression.
In addition, the Polish Minister discussed the possibility of training Ukrainian troops in Poland with the Defense Minister, Reznikov.
Remarks of the Ukrainian Minister:
Reznikov expressed his gratitude for Poland’s help and support. He said that Poland has been a great friend and neighbor to Ukraine and has supported Ukraine on different grounds since the start of this war.
Moreover, it is one of the leading supporters of Ukraine, and with its and other states’ help, Ukraine is trying its best to win this war against Russia and stop them from taking over their lands.
Lastly, he said he felt honored to host his friend Mariusz Blaszcak in the capital of Ukraine.
