Brussels (TDI): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held meetings with the foreign ministers of Slovenia, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Cyprus to discuss matters of bilateral, regional, and global significance. The discussions took place on the sidelines of the 4th EU Indo-Pacific Ministerial Forum.
During his meeting with Slovenia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Tanja Fajon, the two sides reviewed the full spectrum of bilateral relations and exchanged views on key regional and international developments. The talks also resulted in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a mechanism for Bilateral Political Consultations between Pakistan and Slovenia.
Dar invited Minister Fajon to Islamabad for the inaugural round of consultations and encouraged Slovenia’s participation in the Pak-EU Business Forum scheduled for April 2026. They agreed to maintain regular contact through bilateral and multilateral channels to strengthen cooperation in areas of shared interest.

In his meeting with Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen, Dar praised the positive trajectory of Pak-Denmark relations. The two sides discussed enhancing cooperation in trade, investment, green energy, and people-to-people exchanges. They also committed to maintaining close engagement at multilateral forums, particularly as fellow non-permanent members of the UN Security Council for 2025-26.

With Cyprus’s Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos, Dar exchanged views on expanding bilateral cooperation across diverse sectors and agreed to sustain regular communication to advance joint initiatives.

During discussions with Netherlands Foreign Minister David van Weel, both sides appreciated the strong and growing ties between Pakistan and the Netherlands, highlighting opportunities for further collaboration.

On the sidelines of the forum, Dar also interacted with foreign ministers from Singapore, Brunei, Poland, Cambodia, and Slovenia, as well as Japan’s deputy foreign minister, at a gala dinner hosted by EU High Representative and Vice President Kaja Kallas.
