Abu Dhabi (TDI): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar arrived in the United Arab Emirates on Monday to lead Pakistan’s delegation at the 12th session of the Pakistan-UAE Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC), which is being held in Abu Dhabi today.
This high-level meeting marks a significant moment in bilateral ties, as it’s the first time in over a decade that the JMC is being convened. The last session took place in Islamabad back in November 2013. The current session had been scheduled following discussions in October 2024.
Often described as the top institutional platform for shaping cooperation between the two nations, the JMC is expected to cover a broad agenda focused on boosting strategic, economic, and development ties.
Dar is heading a delegation that includes senior officials and secretaries from several key ministries, such as economic affairs, commerce, energy, maritime affairs, and interior.
