Mexico City, 17 September 2021 (TDI): On Thursday, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla announced the arrival of Cuba’s President Miguel Díaz-Canel in Mexico. As part of Mexican Independence Day celebrations, the Cuban President participated in the civic-military parade held on September 16 as a guest of honor.
During the event, Cuban President Miguel expressed his gratitude towards the Mexican counterpart for their solidarity at a time when Cuba was under attack on several fronts, including the Covid-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, Mexican President Andres Manuel expressed solidarity towards the Cuban Republic on facing an economic blockade and implied that sanctions are extremely hurtful towards the well-being of Cuba’s population.
