Cuba Gets Medical Support from Dominican Republic

Havana, 2 September 2021 (TDI): The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, expressed his sincere gratitude towards the Dominican Republic on Wednesday for the donation of medicines and several other medical supplies to help the Cuban government tackle the severity of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The foreign minister stated that such aid will always be regarded as a sample of the historic ties between Cuba and the Dominican Republic. According to the Prensa Latina agency, the cargo delivered by the Dominican Republic to Cuba is valued at around 551,458 dollars, which consists of masks, vitamins, antibacterial gel, isopropyl alcohol, and several medications such as Cetirizine, Acetaminophen, and Amoxicillin, etc. to fulfill the needs of Covid-19 patients. All the material will be distributed to various hospitals and other centers of the Public Health system on Thursday.
