Hanoi, 2 September 2021 (TDI): President Nguyen Xuan Phuc of Vietnam has appointed Nguyen Huy Tang as the new Ambassador to the Kingdom of Cambodia on Wednesday, September 1. The handover ceremony was held in the Presidential Palace, Hanoi.
At the event, the President emphasized the importance of strong Vietnam-Cambodia bilateral cooperation that would deepen political trust, foster completion of border demarcation, and ensure land marker planting between the two countries.
This development marks a new chapter in the history of the relationship between the two neighboring countries since the onset of their diplomatic ties in June 24, 1967.
