Jakarta, 10 September 2021 (TDI): Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Women of Australia, Senator the Hon Marise Payne, met with the Committee of Permanent Representatives (CRP) to ASEAN at the ASEAN Secretariat. The senator also met the Secretary-General of ASEAN Dato Lim Jock during her visit.
Moreover, the discussion encompassed the ongoing developments in the world and tackling the Covid-19 pandemic. Furthermore, Australia and ASEAN have been engaged in conducting diplomacy for the solidification of ties.
She reinforced Australia’s commitment to Southeast Asia’s economic and health recovery from the ongoing pandemic. Marise Payne tweeted that ASEAN is located at the heart of the Indo-Pacific region and we are working on fortifying the relations.
