Islamabad, 4 September 2021 (TDI): During the press briefing on Thursday, Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, Additional Secretary Asia Pacific & Spokesperson Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, pointed out that the one-third population of Pakistan is benefiting from the energy projects working under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Asim further said that the China-led economic project has a significant part in meeting the energy demand of Pakistan. For some years, the projects have also played a role in producing above 26,000 employment chances in the country. He also highlighted the progress in the Balochistan province due to the presence of CPEC in Gwadar.
