CPEC has made progress in various fields, says Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan

Gwadar: 5 July 2021 (TDI)– The Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Mr. Nong Rong addressed the ceremony of Gwadar phase-II on Monday. Present at the event were the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Imran Khan, the Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mr. Jam Kamal Khan, Chairman Senate, Mr. Sadiq Sanjrani, Chairman CPEC authority, Mr. Asim Saleem Bajwa, along with federal ministers, investors, and Chinese workers.

Mr. Nong Rong said that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor has made progress in various fields and Gwadar, in particular, has been changing with each passing day.

He said that on this special occasion, on the behalf of the Chinese Embassy, he would like to extend appreciation for the great efforts made by the Prime Minister; the cabinet including the ministry of planning, development, and reform, the ministry of foreign affairs, the ministry of information; and the CPEC authority.

He mentioned that Gwadar is the pilot project of CPEC since 2013 and both Pakistan and China have worked for hand in hand on port operation, free zone development, transportation infrastructure and have completed a series of projects.

He said the achievements made to this day can be recognized as the speed of Gwadar. Over the past eight years, both countries have jointly formulated the Gwadar plan and implemented it accordingly with great determination. Projects initiated into the blueprint have now come to reality one after another.
