Islamabad:5, July 2021-(TDI): Dr. Arif Alvi President of Pakistan presented the Military Award Nishan-i- Imtiaz to General Umit Dundar, Commander of the Turkish army. A special opening ceremony was held by Ayvan Sadr to recognize General Umit Dundar’s contribution to strengthening Pakistan-Turkey relations. The award was also presented at this ceremony. First Lady Samina Alvi, senior officials of the armed forces, and İhsan Mustafa Yurdakul, Turkish Ambassador in Pakistan attended this ceremony. According to the quotes from the ceremony, General Umit Dundar 1985 graduated from the Army War College, in 1991from the Royal Army Staff College, and in 1994 from the Armed Forces College. He was also appointed the Commander of the Multinational Brigade in Afghanistan. In 2018 he was appointed by the Turkish President as the Commander of the Turkish Land Forces.
