Islamabad, 22 October 2021 (TDI): The CPEC project of canal in Chashma is considered to be a game changer for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), Pakistan.
Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan hosted a meeting on Integrated Agriculture and development plan for KPK. The meeting took place in Islamabad. The Pakistani Prime Minister discussed development projects of KPK.
China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will carry on most of the projects in KPK. Imran Khan emphasized the Chashma Right Bank Canal (CRBC) project. Lift-cum-Gravity project of CRBC is considered to be a game changer for the KPK province.
This project would help to uplift the socioeconomic condition of KPK. The project would cost 120 billion Pakistani rupees. Moreover, It would give new life to the barren land of the province.
Imran emphasizing the project, further stated that it would irrigate 300,000 acres of barren land of KPK after its completion. He added that it will provide food security. He also urged the concerned authorities to create new channels for farming in the area.
It would help farmers to raise their income levels. Furthermore, this would also eradicate hunger problems of the local population.
China initiated CPEC project in Pakistan. It is a multi billion project in which China is investing in Pakistan. The project will link Pakistani port Gwadar with Chinese city Kashgor after its completion. It will be a game changer for the whole region.
