Ho Chi Minh, 4 November 2021 (TDI): Covax Facility has decided to send additional 9 million doses of vaccinations to Vietnam.
Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccine doses will be provided to Vietnam. The country will receive the doses at the earliest.
Earlier, Vietnam’s Prime Minister met with the Office Managing Director of COVAX, Aurélia Nguyen, on Wednesday.

Southeast Asian country’s Premier thanked MD COVAX Facility for allocating 38.9 million doses this year. Moreover, the country has already received 23 million doses from the facility.
Vietnam’s Prime Minister also stressed his country’s campaign to vaccinate children and the need for more vaccine doses; for that purpose.
Vietnam also increased its contribution to the facility by adding US$500,000. With this, Vietnam’s total contributions reached US$1 million.
Earlier, Vietnam’s Prime Minister arrived in Paris, yesterday. There he held meetings with French Prime Minister, Jean Castex. He is also scheduled to meet French President Emanuel Macron.
Meeting with French Prime Minister
Vietnam’s Prime Minister met with French Prime Minister, Jean Castex in Paris on Thursday. In the meeting both the counterparts showed willingness accordingly to implement the Viet Nam-EU free trade agreement (EVFTA).
