Islamabad (TDI): Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Friday wrapped up his three-day official visit to Pakistan, during which both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and enhancing regional stability.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, along with senior government officials, Pakistan’s ambassador to Beijing and the Chinese envoy, saw off the visiting dignitary at the airport.
Children lined the red carpet waving the national flags of both countries to bid farewell.
During the visit, Wang Yi and Senator Dar co-chaired the 6th Pakistan-China Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue, where the two sides underscored the importance of their partnership for regional peace, stability, and shared prosperity.

The Chinese foreign minister also called on President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
In these meetings, Pakistani leaders reiterated that relations with China remain the cornerstone of Pakistan’s foreign policy, while appreciating Beijing’s steadfast support for Pakistan’s sovereignty, development, and security.

Discussions with the army chief focused on regional security, counter-terrorism cooperation, and issues of mutual concern.
