Chinese Vaccines arrived in Barbados


Bridgetown: June 30, 2021- (TDI):  The COVID vaccines donated by China to Barbados arrived in Barbados at the Grantley Adams International airport.

The shipment was received by the Prime Minister of Barbados, Ms. Mia Amor Mottley. Yan Xiusheng, the Chinese ambassador to Barbados and Lt Col Jeffrey Bostic, Minister of Health & Wellness of Barbados was also present to witness the arrival of vaccines.

Yan Xiusheng tweeted about the vaccine arrival and shared his honor in handing over and signing the document of the donation of the Chinese vaccines to Barbados. He further stated that China and Barbados are good friends and China will stand with Barbados in its fight against combating the virus and bring back life to normalcy.

The arrival of vaccines is a clear example of unity and cooperation between China and Barbados and also a depiction of the Chinese aim of building a community for a shared better future of mankind, the ambassador stated.
