Washington, 15 September 2021 (TDI): Chinese Mission to the United Nations (UN) Ambassador Dai Bing welcomed the positive progress on the Juba Peace Agreement (JPA) by the Government of Sudan.
At the meeting of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), Ambassador Dai stressed that the JPA is imperative to enhance national reconstruction and economic development for Sudan.

UNSC meeting was on the United Nations Integrated Transition Assistance Mission in Sudan (UNITAMS). China has been an active proponent of JPA and it is evident through the comments of Ambassador
What is JPA?
Juban Peace Agreement was an initiative by Sudan’s transnational government and many warring factors to pacify the anarchic situation. This agreement encompasses governance, security, and transitional justice and is intended to inform the future constitutional negotiation process.
