Dubai (TDI): At the Dubai Airshow 2025, China is showcasing its advanced aviation technology, including the J-35A stealth fighter jet and the J-10CE fighter jet, among other cutting-edge military hardware.
The exhibition, which kicked off in Dubai on Monday, features a strong lineup of products from China’s aviation industry, attracting considerable attention from the Middle Eastern market.
The J-10CE fighter jet, equipped with PL series air-to-air missiles, was one of the standout displays at the booth of China National Aero-Technology Import & Export Corporation (CATIC). Alongside the J-10CE, CATIC is also presenting the J-35A stealth fighter jet, the Y-20 large transport aircraft, and the L-15A training aircraft, which is already in service with the UAE Air Force. The Wing Loong series drones, including a full-scale model of the Wing Loong-X, are also on display, marking the first time the Wing Loong-X has been showcased at an airshow abroad.
Another major Chinese presence at the event is the Aero Engine Corporation of China (AECC), which is exhibiting its domestically produced aero engines for the first time at the Dubai Airshow. AECC’s display includes 19 engine models across five exhibition zones, including the high-thrust Taihang series turbofan engines used in advanced warplanes and the KP16-3D engine, a 3D-printed, minimalist turbojet engine ideal for drones.

Chinese products are gaining recognition for their reliability and performance, and they are likely to attract further interest from countries in the region seeking new defense procurement alternatives. Notably, the UAE’s Al Fursan aerobatic team also performed at the airshow, flying the Chinese-made L-15 aircraft in precision maneuvers, including the formation of a heart in the sky. This use of Chinese aircraft for aerobatic performances underscores the growing recognition of Chinese aviation technology in the global market.
