Islamabad, 14 September 2022 (TDI): Chinese enterprises are helping Pakistan in Flood Relief Activities. They are participating in the delivery of food packages and providing financial aid too.

China Gezhouba Group Corporation (CGGC)

China Gezhouba Group Corporation (CGGC) has provided 400 food packages to flood victims. The food packages contained flour, rice, and oil.

These food packages are distributed among the flood-affected individuals of residents in Dasu town in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

These food packages provided by China Gezhouba Group Corporation (CGGC) will help the flood victims relieve from an approaching food shortage issue.

Zonergy

The Chinese Electricity generation company has contributed RMB100,000 to the Pakistani Embassy in China for flood humanitarian assistance in Pakistan.

The corporation would also donate Rs 6.4 million in portable solar energy gadgets and Rs 2.4 million in food supplies to flood victims.

The entire value of the bundle is Rs 12 million. Zonergy is a key participant in the solar energy market in Pakistan. It has generated a 300-megawatt solar power facility in Bahawalpur, Punjab.

According to a Private Power and Infrastructure Board official, the company also plans to build another 300MW solar power plant in Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park in Bahawalpur (PPIB).

The delegation of the Chinese company Zonergy also called on the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad. The Prime Minister said that Pakistan and China are best friends.

China has supported Pakistan on all fronts and through the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is investing in infrastructure construction, industry, and various sectors in Pakistan.

Shanghai Electric

Shanghai Electric also announced to contribute Rs 7 million worth of relief goods for the people of Mitthi, Sindh.

The company owns Sino-Sindh Resources Ltd. (SSRL), a special purpose entity that would manage a lignite coal mine in Thar Coal Block-I in Sindh’s Tharparkar region.
