Chinese Climate Envoy urges World to tackle Climate Change

Beijing, 20 October 2021 (TDI): Chinese chief negotiator for climate change, Xie Zhenhua has urged developed countries to contribute more for climate protection. The Ministry of Ecology and Environment of China and the Chinese Embassy in the UK, jointly hosted virtual press conference on climate response.

Zhenhua and Vice Minister of Environment, Zhao Yingmin addressed media about the Chinese policies to protect climate. They talked about the upcoming COP26 Climate conference that is going to be held in Glasgow.

The Chinese chief negotiator further stated that the developed countries have the highest debt to protect environment. The developed countries with their industrialization have affected the climate a lot. So, they need to contribute more in order to protect the world from climate change.

China’s Ambassador to the UK, Zheng Zeguang also expressed that the developed countries need to reduce their emissions. He further said that other countries needs to stop blaming China and start acting to reduce emissions.

The officials further stated that China will become carbon neutral till 2060. They said China keeps its promises and actions will speak louder in 2060. They also urged other countries to become carbon neutral for the sustainability of the environment.
