Chinese Ambassador to UN welcomes the PR of Barbados to NY


New York: 29 June 2021 (TDI):  The Chinese Ambassador to the UN, Mr. Zhang Jun, expressed his gladness at meeting with the Permanent Representative of Barbados to the United Nations, Mr. Francois Jackman.

Mr. Jackman was appointed as the Permanent Representative of Barbados to the United Nations this year. Previously he had been serving as the Ambassador of Barbados to China since 2018.

The Chinese ambassador took it to Twitter on Monday to welcome Mr. Jackman to New York.

He pointed out that China and Barbados have been old friends and good partners. He also added that the missions of the two countries must be expected to strengthen cooperation for deeper friendship and true multilateralism.

Mr. Jackman responded to the tweet by thanking the Chinese Ambassador for the warm welcome and commented that both small and big countries can contribute to making the global community more responsive to the needs of all peoples.
