Rome: June 29, 2021- (TDI): Qatar participated in the Ministerial meeting on Global Coalition to defeat ISIS. It was a two-day long session and the Foreign Minister of Qatar, Al Thani represented his country. Initially, the foreign minister of Qatar focused on eliminating terrorism as a major threat to the country and its support for defeating ISIS.
He stressed the Qatar firm and resolute support with the International and the United Nations efforts to reach a political solution to the Syrian crisis. Furthermore, at this meeting, he also met with Secretary Antony Blinken in Rome. Both discussed the Qatar US strategic relations and the cooperation for the advancement of regional security and stability in the region.
