Islamabad, 18 November 2021 (TDI): Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong met with the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Pakistan on Poverty Alleviation Sania Nishtar. The meeting took place on Tuesday, 16 November 2021 in Islamabad.
In the meeting, they talked about the poverty alleviation plans of Pakistan. They also discussed the Ehsaas Program launched by the Pakistani government to eradicate poverty.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is also planned to be signed soon between Pakistan and China. The Ministry of Commerce of China and the Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Division (PASSD) of the Government of Pakistan will enter the MoU.
China and Pakistan are all-weather friends. The two countries shared a history of helping each other in difficult times. Now, the countries are looking forward to cooperating on poverty alleviation.
The whole world acknowledges the Chinese efforts and actions to eradicate poverty from China. China has taken unprecedented successful steps which helped it to eradicate poverty from its country.
The Special Assistant to the Pakistani Prime Minister on poverty alleviation appreciated the experience of China in eradicating poverty. She stated that poverty alleviation is the key priority of the Pakistani government. Therefore, Pakistan will like to get help from the Chinese experience to eliminate poverty from Pakistani society.
Chinese Ambassador attends a ceremony of distribution of food in Gilgit
Moreover, the Chinese Ambassador also visited Gilgit Baltistan. He attended the ceremony of the distribution of food packages in Gilgit. China donated food to the people of Gilgit-Baltistan. He emphasized that China will continue to strengthen its cooperation with Pakistan.

Nong Rong stated that China is committed to the economic and social development of Pakistan. Therefore, it will do its best to ensure economic and social development in Gilgit-Baltistan. He said that China will continue to make efforts to improve the livelihood of Gilgit-Baltistan. Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan said that it will further strengthen the relations of the two states.
