Jakarta, 3 August 2021 (TDI): Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to ASEAN, Deng Xijun congratulated the Chinese athletes who won the gold medals in Gymnastics and Diving on Tuesday.
The winners included Guan Chenchen who won the gold medal in the Women’s balance beam with a score of 14.633, being the third Chinese gymnast to win the gold medal in this competition, Zou Jingyuan who won in the Men’s parallel bars, and Xie Siyi who competed in the Men’s 3-meter springboard.
As of Tuesday, China leads the gold medal count with the highest number of 32 gold medals followed by the USA with 24 and Japan with 19. In the overall ranking, the country stands at #2 with a total number of 69 medals following the USA with 73.
