ISLAMABAD (TDI): A two-seat electric aircraft, the RX1E-A, developed independently by China, successfully conducted its first flight at Badaling Airport in Beijing.
This milestone is expected to invigorate the city’s low-altitude economy.
Chinese Electric Aircraft
The RX1E-A is an advanced version of China’s first electric plane, which made its debut flight in 2017 in Shenyang, Liaoning province.

Primarily designed for pilot training and experience flights, the RX1E-A received its type certificate from the Civil Aviation Administration of China in 2018 and a production certificate in 2019.
Since then, it has accumulated over 10,000 hours of safe flight.

Equipped with an optional whole-aircraft parachute system, the RX1E-A features a flight endurance of 150 minutes and a maximum range of 240 kilometers, highlighting its strong safety capabilities.
