Islamabad (TDI): A vibrant China–Pakistan Art Exhibition, jointly organized by China Media Group and the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA), was held to commemorate 75 years of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China.
The event brought together dignitaries, artists, and attendees from diverse backgrounds, reflecting the deep-rooted people-to-people connection shared by both countries.
Chen Peng, Cultural Counsellor at the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan, attended as the Guest of Honor. In his remarks, he emphasized that the exhibition symbolizes not only the long-standing diplomatic ties but also the “timeless friendship” between Pakistan and China.
He noted that this relationship is built on mutual trust, cultural harmony, and sustained cooperation. Chen Peng further highlighted the role of fine arts in bridging cultural divides, stating that the exhibition showcases the shared heritage and creative spirit of both nations.
According to him, such initiatives deepen mutual understanding and strengthen the emotional and cultural bonds that underpin bilateral relations.
The ceremony was graced by Wajiha Qamar, Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training, who served as the Chief Guest.

In her address, she underscored that Pakistan–China relations extend beyond strategic and diplomatic cooperation, reaching into the realm of cultural and civilizational harmony. She described the exhibition as a vivid representation of this connection, expressed through colors, themes, and artistic narratives.
Wajiha Qamar also stressed the importance of cultural initiatives in educating younger generations about the historical significance of Pakistan–China relations. She noted that such events play a crucial role in fostering awareness, appreciation, and continuity of this unique partnership.
Adding to the discourse, Farah Naz Akbar, Parliamentary Secretary for the National Heritage and Culture Division, highlighted the unifying power of culture and fine arts.
She remarked that exhibitions like this serve as effective platforms for promoting mutual respect, cultural exchange, and harmony between nations.
The exhibition featured a diverse collection of artworks by prominent artists from both Pakistan and China. The displays were widely appreciated by attendees, including Pakistani and Chinese participants, as well as members of the general public.
