China contributed another one million doses of Sinovac vaccine to Malaysia

Putrajaya, 4 October 2021 (TDI): According to Wisma Putra (Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs), China will deliver another one million doses of the Sinovac vaccine to Malaysia to deepen the bilateral friendly bond between the two countries. This reflects China’s deep concerns towards Malaysia to counter the devastating pandemic.

Officials said the decision was taken during the Telephone conversation between Chinese Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, and the Malaysian Foreign Affairs Minister, Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah on Wednesday. The Malaysian government has expressed its appreciation for China’s latest contributions in the medical sector. On the other side, China has listed Malaysia as a priority recipient of the Chinese Sinovac vaccine doses which showed Chinese solidarity towards Malaysia.

Wisma Putra highlighted that the Telephone conversation between the two countries would enhance the working relationship, provide new updates on the latest developments from both sides, and will help to exchange views on current situations in the region.
