Riyadh, 10 December 2022 (TDI): Chinese President, Xi Jinping met the King of Bahrain, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in Riyadh to discuss economic development. The partnership between China and Bahrain on global forums would be bolstered.
China is eager to enhance the synergy of Bahrain’s development objectives and take a proactive role in its economic development initiatives, remarks made by Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday 9 December 2022.
King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa met the Chinese President within the framework of the King’s participation in the Gulf-Chinese summit held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

In addition to discussing regional and global issues and developments of shared interest, the King of Bahrain and the President of China reviewed aspects of their close historical ties.
They also reviewed promising opportunities to develop tracks of joint cooperation in various important areas, particularly economic, trade, investment, and scientific.
King Hamad expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Chinese President for his interest and keenness to strengthen and prosper Bahraini-Chinese relations.
He reaffirmed the pride of the Kingdom of Bahrain in its close relations with the People’s Republic of China and the advanced level they have reached in all fields.
The two sides reaffirmed their ongoing efforts to create frameworks for collaboration and take advantage of the knowledge, skills, and investment opportunities shared by the two nations in a way that advances their shared interests.
Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa expressed his gratitude for the significant role that China plays in the international arena with all of its civilized, political, and economic weight.
China’s importance is on achieving security and stability in the Middle East region and strengthening cooperation between its countries to support development efforts and the world economy.
The Chinese community’s role and positive contributions to advancing the economic and commercial process in the Kingdom of Bahrain were also praised by him.
The two sides also expressed their aspiration that the Chinese Gulf and the Chinese-Arab summits would contribute to advancing the strategic partnership with China to achieve the expected benefits for all.
