Islamabad, 7 January 2023(TDI): On Thursday, Pakistan’s caretaker Prime Minister, Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, met with Qatar’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Ali bin Mubarak Al Khater, to discuss bilateral cooperation relations.
He welcomed Qatar to maximize the benefits offered by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) through investments across various sectors in Pakistan.
In addition to this, he stated, “SIFC is playing an active role to attract investors from the Gulf countries, including Qatar, to benefit from opportunities in key sectors of the economy.”
During the meeting, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar highlighted the strong and close relationship between Pakistan and Qatar. He expressed Pakistan’s aspiration to enhance cooperation in trade and investment.
According to reports, the Prime Minister expressed Pakistan’s appreciation for Qatar’s role in the negotiations that led to a temporary pause in Gaza.

He emphasized the significance of collaborative efforts from the global community, especially the Muslim Ummah, in achieving peace for Palestine.
Additionally, marking Ambassador Al-Khater’s inaugural visit to the Prime Minister since presenting his credentials in November, Prime Minister Kakar commended him on assuming his ambassadorial duties in Pakistan.
The Prime Minister expressed optimism that the friendly relations between the two countries would further deepen during Ambassador Al-Khater’s tenure.
