Canada appoints new Ambassador to Brazil

Brasilia, 30 August 2022 (TDI): Canada appointed a new Ambassador to Brazil, Emmanuel Kamarianakis on Monday. Ambassador Kamarianakis announced on his Twitter his role as the Canadian Ambassador to Brazil.

Ambassador Kamarianakis said that he was happy to be appointed to this role in Brazil. Moreover, he said that he is delighted about the role of Canadian Ambassador to Brazil. Ambassador Kamarianakis added that he will discover Brazil in near future.

Ambassador Kamarianakis further added that Brazil is of significant importance to Canada. He had assured that Canada and Brazil will strengthen their ties under his tenure as Canada’s Ambassador.

Emmanuel Kamarianakis also added that he and his diplomatic team will follow every possible path to strengthen good relationships between Brazil and Canada.

Welcome remarks from Brazil

The diplomatic and trade community of Brazil welcomed the new Ambassador of Canada to Brazil. The officials of the Brazilian government stated that the assignment of Emanuel Kamarianakis as the Canadian ambassador is a way forward for developing further trade and commercial relations.

Counsel General of Canada in the Sao Paulo state of Brazil, Heather Cameroon welcomed the new Canadian Ambassador. Cameroon also congratulated Ambassasador Kamarianaki and regarded him as the hope for further strengthening the relationship between Brazil and Canada.

Further, Ambassador Kamarianakis also met the President of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro upon his assuming the position. President Bolsonaro welcomed the newly appointed Ambassador. Additionally, Emmanuel Kamarianakis also presented his credential letters to the President.

The Embassy of Canada in Brazil officially announced that both sides look forward to strengthened bilateral cooperation. Furthermore, the official source of the Embassy also assured the expansion of relations between Canada and Brazil.
