Singapore, 30 August 2022 (TDI): The 10th Asia-Pacific Trade Facilitation Forum (APTFF) is co-organized by Asian Development Bank (ADB) and United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and Pacific (ESCAP). The event is scheduled from 29th August to 1st  September 2022.

The Asia-Pacific Trade Facilitation Forum (APTFF) focuses on promoting trade facilitation as an important component of a comprehensive strategy for national and regional development.

Agenda of the Forum

The Forum attracts over 250 participants from over 30 different countries. It offers extensive opportunities for capacity building and cooperation. APTFF is the main open regional platform to exchange information, experiences, and practices for trade facilitation in Asia-Pacific.

APTFF Forum explores Trade Digitalization and emerging technologies to ensure that new generation trade facilitation measures are inclusive and sustainable. The Forum features panel discussions and interactive and informative sessions on different aspects of trade facilitation.

The discussions on different aspects of trade finance, cross-border e-commerce, transit, and innovative application of emerging technologies are underway during different sessions.

The Asia-Pacific delegates share their national experiences and discuss the Asia-Pacific Digital Transformation report 2022. In addition, it intends to strengthen regional cooperation and coordination of Aid for Trade. Moreover, related technical assistance and capacity building in trade facilitation is also considered.

International organizations and development agencies with an interest in ongoing activities on trade facilitation in Asia-Pacific share information on their activities and initiatives in the area of trade facilitation.

APTFF Forum intends to understand the practical problems faced by traders, regulators, and, development agencies and identify relevant research questions accordingly.

The Forum includes a number of side events providing a more in-depth analysis of pertinent trade facilitation issues.
